ONYX BOOX Leaf 2

ONYX BOOX Leaf 2 is a compact lightweight E Reader with a screen enlarged up to 7”, two-factor front light and touch control. Despite its compact size, the E Reader has a high-efficient hardware platform and is based on Android 11. Its 32 GB of internal memory together with a slot for microSD cards allow you to store and keep in the device a considerable library of your favorite books. Thanks to the enlarged screen, the model allows you to display 30% more text than 6" devices. The model has dual-band Wi-Fi and a Bluetooth module. The device is designed in a thin compact body with side buttons for turning pages, and the screen is covered with a protective glass^*.

Screen frontlit system

The MOON Light 2 technology enables one to use the device in the dark or under poor lighting conditions. When this function is in use, soft luminescence of the screen comfortable for reading in dark rooms is being generated. It also has a color temperature control and, thanks to the use of Flicker-Free technology, the front-light system is perfectly smooth.

Increased screen diagonal

ONYX BOOX Leaf 2 is equipped with a screen enlarged up to 7” which displays 30% more text than 6” devices. At the same time, the device is compact enough for comfortable use outside the home.

Screen auto-rotate function

A built-in G-sensor automatically selects the correct text orientation when the device is rotated. Thanks to this option, you can change the orientation of the E Reader and the image will be restructured automatically. The scrolling buttons on the case also change their functions according to the orientation of the screen.

Capacitive multi-touch screen

The E Ink Carta Plus 7” screen has a lighter background and higher contrast than any screen in this class. It allows you to read in a bright sunlight and has a high screen refresh speed. The absence of flickering front light and the principle of image formation using “electronic ink” makes reading eye-friendly. This multi-touch screen provides easy control when reading: page turning with short taps, page moving, two-finger zoom, making notes in the text and usage of additional options.

Additional screen protection^*

Protective glass is placed over the E Ink screen and protects it from scratches and other damages. The new glass made it possible to abandon additional frame edges, so the screen is located flush to the body of the device. It makes the work with the E reader more comfortable and its look more up-to-date. In addition, a special coating reduces the likelihood of glare on the screen.

Outstanding technical specifications

The 4-core Qualcomm processor with 2 GHz clock rate and 2 GB of RAM ensure a comfort work with the most complex documents. And 32 GB of nonvolatile memory together with a microSD slot allow the user to store a considerable library of favorite books.

Bluetooth module

Thanks to a built-in Bluetooth 5.0 module, you can connect external devices.

OTG

The device supports OTG, thanks to which you can connect additional peripherals which do not require drivers.

Format support

The BOOX software allows you to open a number of different text and image file formats. While reading, you can change the style and the size of the font, the position of the pages, add bookmarks and zoom documents at your wish.

Audio player

The device has a pre-installed audio player, so you can listen to music or audio books. To use it, just run a corresponding audio file. You also can connect earphones or external speakers either via Bluetooth or via the USB Type C connector.

Comfortable recording of ebooks into the device

Along with a standard mode of copying ebooks into the device with the help of a USB-cable, you may use Wi-Fi to transfer files. The cloud PUSH-service send2boox also is available.

Apps installation

The Leaf 2 model is based on the Android 11 operating system and allows you to install and use various third-party apps, which significantly expand the possibilities of using the device.
