ONYX BOOX Note Max

ONYX BOOX Note Max is a high-performance 13.3” E Reader and with extensive possibilities for working with documents. Its E Ink Carta Plus (Carta1300) screen has a maximum resolution of 300 ppi and higher contrast. The capacitive sensor allows you to work in the menu, zoom pages with an intuitive pinch. Its additional inductive touch layer makes it possible to draw and take handwritten notes with the stylus coming with the device. The model has a high-performance 8-core processor with 2.8 GHz of clock rate. A new graphics processor with BOOX Super Refresh technology provides high-speed screen refresh and smooth movement of objects on the screen. The Note Max is not only ideal for reading, but is also a perfect tool for working with various types of documents. The Android 13 operating system allows you to install and use third-party apps. A built-in Wi-Fi module makes it possible to download ebooks from the Internet and use other network services, and Bluetooth 5.1 support allows you to connect external devices. 128 GB of internal memory makes it possible to store any necessary ebooks and documents in the device practically without limitations. Its battery of 3700 mAh provides long lasting autonomous work. This model does not have a built-in screen front light and is designed to work with external lighting. The body of the E Reader is made of lightweight and durable aluminum-magnesium alloy, the screen is covered with additional protective glass. ONYX BOOX Note Max supports working with a branded magnetic case with a keyboard which can be additionally purchased and used to protect the reader and make typing easier.

Readability

The 13.3” E Ink Carta Plus screen with the Regal function is ideal not only for reading, but also for viewing documents in PDF and DjVu formats. The principle of image formation by the "electronic ink" technology makes reading eye-friendly. The screen approximately matches an A4 sheet of paper, i.e. it allows you to view scanned pages without zooming.

Format Support

The BOOX software allows you to open a number of different text and image file formats. While reading, you can change the style and the size of the font, the position of the pages, add bookmarks and zoom documents at your wish.

Additional screen protection

ONYX protective glass is applied on the E Ink screen and protects it from scratches and other damages. The new glass made it possible to abandon additional frame edges, so the screen is located flush to the body of the device. It makes the work with the E Reader more comfortable and looks more up-to-date. In addition, a special coating reduces the likelihood of glare on the screen.

Dual sensor control

The Note Max has two sensor layers. A multi-touch capacitive layer is located over the screen surface. You turn pages of e-books and zoom documents with intuitive finger movements. In addition, a Wacom sensor layer is located under the E Ink panel. Thanks to it, you can make handwritten notes and drawings using a special stylus which comes with the device. The stylus recognizes 4096 degrees of pressure and allows you to draw with extreme accuracy.

High performance

The 8-core processor with 2.8 GHz clock rate and 6 GB of RAM ensure a comfort work with the most difficult documents. And 128 GB of nonvolatile memory allows the user to store a considerable library of favorite literature.

Dictionary support

The software of the E Reader allows you to install additional dictionary databases in the Stardict format at your wish.

Bluetooth

Thanks to a built-in Bluetooth 5.1 module, you can connect external devices.

Screen auto-rotate function

A built-in G-sensor automatically selects the correct text orientation when the device is rotated. Thanks to this option, you can change the orientation of the E Reader and the image will be restructured automatically.

OTG

The device supports OTG, thanks to which you can connect additional peripherals that do not require drivers.

Comfortable recording of ebooks into the device

Along with a standard way of copying ebooks into the device with the help of a USB-cable, you may use Wi-Fi to transfer files when connected to the Internet. The cloud PUSH-service BooxDrop is also available.

Audio player

The device has a pre-installed audio player which allows you to listen to music or audio books. To use it, just run a corresponding audio file with a finger touch. Also, you can connect earphones or external speakers either via Bluetooth or via the USB Type C connector.

Application installation

The Note Max is based on the Android 13 operating system and allows you to install and use various third-party apps, which significantly expand the scope of using the device.
