ONYX BOOX Livingstone 2

ONYX BOOX Livingstone 2 is a 6” E Reader in a thin compact body equipped with an E Ink Carta Plus screen with front light and touch control. The model is based on a modern high-performance processor and has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. A Wi-Fi module allows you to use WEB-services, and Bluetooth allows the user to connect wireless accessories such as earphones and speakers. Thanks to the Android 11 OS you can install different third-party apps from Google Play. The pre-installed audio player allows you to listen to the music and audio books. The support of the TTS (Text-To-Speech) function can sound the text files. The E reader comes with a case cover with SIDE-control buttons.

Screen front light system

The MOON Light 2 technology enables one to use the device in the dark or under poor lighting conditions. When this function is on, soft luminescence of the screen comfortable for reading in dark rooms is being generated. It also has a color temperature control and, thanks to the Flicker-Free technology, this screen frontlit system is perfectly smooth.

Touch control

The capacitive touch screen with the Multi-touch function provides convenient control when reading or setting the device: scrolling, zooming, running the context menu and much more. Controlling the E Reader is as convenient as using a smartphone or tablet.

The up-to-date 4-core processor together with 2 GHz clock rate and 2 GB of RAM ensure a comfort work with the most difficult documents. And 16 GB of nonvolatile memory and a slot for SD cards allow the user to store a huge library of necessary ebooks.

Format support

The BOOX software allows you to open files of various text and graphic formats. When reading you can change font style and size, disposition of pages, insert bookmarks, and zoom documents at will.

Pre-installed dictionaries

ONYX BOOX Livingstone 2 has several pre-installed dictionaries. The device supports Stardict dictionaries which can be downloaded from the Internet for free. Want to translate an unknown word? Just touch it!

New library

The library sorts ebooks by author, title and series. Convenient search and filters allow you to find quickly any needed book by genre, language, date of publication etc. In addition, standard folders, created on PCs, are supported.

A comfortable recording of ebooks into the device

Along with a standard mode of copying ebooks into the device with the help of a USB-cable, you may use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth or a QR-code to transfer files. Also a cloud PUSH-service send2boox is available.

Cover case with the SIDE Control technology

The device comes with a smart cover which not only provides effective protection of the screen, but when closed turns automatically the device into a sleep mode. On its right side there are convenient scrolling buttons.

Screen Auto-rotate function

The built-in G-sensor automatically selects the correct text orientation when the device is rotated. Thanks to this option, you can change the orientation of the eReader and the image will be restructured automatically. The scrolling buttons on the cover case also change their functions according to the orientation of the screen.

Bluetooth module

Thanks to a built-in Bluetooth module of the 5.0 standard you can connect an external keyboard or other external devices, and listen to audio files.

OTG

The device supports OTG (On-To-Go), thanks to which you can connect additional peripherals that do not require drivers.

Audio player and TTS

The model has a pre-installed audio player which allows you to listen to the music and audiobooks. To use it, just connect earphones or speakers to the device via Bluetooth and run a corresponding file. The device also supports a TTS (Text-To-Speech) function which can make sound text files.

Possibility to install additional programs

The ONYX BOOX Livingstone 2 model is based on the Android 11 operating system and allows you to install and use various third-party apps, which significantly expand the possibilities of using the device.
